提高小規模工商業取得金融服務的管道,尤其是開發中國家,包括負擔的起的貸款,並將他們併入價值鏈與市場之中。

Increase the access of small-scale industrial and other enterprises, particularly in developing countries, to financial services including affordable credit and their integration into value chains and markets.

透過推動「大學社會責任」分項計畫,以「在地連結」為核心,並透過人文關懷與協助解決區域問題之概念,強調大學的社會責任,聚焦於區域或在地特色發展所需或未來願景,帶動各地區的繁榮與發展,透過更主動積極連結區域學校資源,協助城鄉教育發展,讓大學能夠對於區域及在地有更多的貢獻與照顧,促進在地產學人才培育、就業,並創新城鄉、產業及文化發展。本分項計畫除了與本校中程校務發展計畫整合,結合區域內東華大學、慈濟科技大學、台灣觀光管理學院及大漢技術學院等校師生能量,徵求有助於區域城鄉發展(社區、產業、文化等)與推動對區域富有價值意義之實踐計畫;並鼓勵教師帶領學生以跨科系、跨領域、跨團隊、跨校串聯的結合力量,或結合地方政府及產業資源,共同促進在地產業聚落、社區文化創新發展,並增進學生對在地認同,進而激發在地就業或在地創業的意念。

有形的教育在學校,無形的教育則在社區,期待啟發人人的良知良能,以達人心淨化的目標。教育不只存在學校課堂中,更應普遍推廣至社會鄰里社區。慈濟大學社會教育推廣中心於1997年成立,並於2016年將花蓮以外之全台15處終身學習教育中心透過「志玄文教基金會」運作。
Education is not limited to the classroom and should be widely extended to the neighborhood communities. Since 1997, Tzu Chi University has been establishing continuing education centers around Taiwan, to promote and encourage life-long learning. In 2016, the 15 lifelong learning education centers in Taiwan operated under the Zhi Xuan Education Foundation.

改善科學研究,提高五所有國家的工商業的科技能力,尤其是開發中國家,包括在西元2030年以前,鼓勵創新,並提高研發人員數,每百萬人增加x%,並提高公民營的研發支出。

Enhance scientific research, upgrade the technological capabilities of industrial sectors in all countries, in particular developing countries, including, by 2030, encouraging innovation and substantially increasing the number of research and development workers per 1 million people and public and private research and development spending.
慈濟大學、台北慈濟醫院、中研院合作開發出新冠肺炎IgM/IgG 雙抗體檢測試劑,十分鐘就可驗出初、中、後期感染者。慈濟大學研發長黃舜平教授表示:「慈濟大學團隊與中研院吳漢忠研究員以及楊安綏研究員合作,開發快速抗體檢測試劑,能夠精準測出受感染者血液中的 IgM 與 IgG 兩種抗體,只要少量血液檢體,毋需機器,10 分鐘即可知道是否曾經感染新冠病毒。」
The Academia Sinica, Tzu Chi University (TCU) & Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital joined forces to successfully develop a COVID-19 detection kit based on patient’s IgM/IgG immune responses. TCU’s Director of the Office of Research and Development Professor Dr. Shun-Ping Huang stated that based on the peptide and plasmid provided by several prestigious scientists at the Academia Sinica, TCU accomplished development of a high accuracy detection kit based on patient’s IgM & IgG antibodies. Only a very small amount of patient’s blood is necessary to confirm their infection history by COVID-19 within 10 minutes. When exposed to the virus infection, specific IgM antibodies will be developed within days and last for weeks, and then subside; more persistent IgG antibodies will follow around the third week.
